Butthole Surfers, the outlandish Texan rock band, released Independent Worm Saloon, their sixth album, in 1993. They formed over a decade earlier, and in that time wowed and disgusted audiences across the country to the point where they finally signed to major label Capitol in the early 1990s. Independent Worm Saloon was their first proper release working with their new label, and with it came some serious perks. The band worked with producer John Paul Jones, best known as the bassist of the legendary rock group Led Zeppelin, and created a more straight forward, albeit heavy, album that even received some mainstream attention, charting at #6 on the Heatseaker chart and breaking into the top of the Billboard 200.  This original Butthole Surfers shirt, nicely worn and faded, is from the 1993 release of Independent Worm Saloon.
