Calem Cigarettes introduced their mascot, Joe Camel, in 1987. Joe was around for ten years until the company pulled the plug on him simply because he got too popular. Children recognized Joe Camel more than Mickey Mouse. The ads and promotions from the that period feature Joe, usually looking cool wearing sunglasses. This vintage Camel pocket tee, nicely worn in in great condition, features a band of Joes, one even has a nice looking sunburst Les Paul. 50% Cotton 50% Polyester.
