Celestial Seasonings, the tea company, was founded in 1969. They grew from a small brand ran by two hippies to a multi million dollar company. In the shift and in the aftermath of the acquisition, the brand lost a tea known as Pelican Punch, whose flavor boasted a "chamomile and mint foundation, with harmonic notes of carob and licorice." It was a well-loved flavor, and its absence was felt so strongly that a new company was created just to fulfill the Pelican Punch void. This original Celestial Seasonings shirt, nicely faded and worn, is for their discontinued Pelican Punch Herb Tea.
