Cheetos, the delicious, cheesy snack, were created in 1948 by the inventor of another snack, Fritos. The success of the snack led the brand to seek distribution help, which wound up being so successful that the two brands eventually merged to form one snack conglomerate, Frito-Lay. Now, decades alter, Cheetos are still one of the most popular snacks in the world.
