British tennis star Fred Perry began making athletic clothes in 1952. The brand started off making simple, stylish, yet functional shirts for tennis and table tennis players, but the brand became important to many underground cultures shortly after. Skinheads and mods made the Fred Perry laurels a ubiquitous sight at any alternative Anglocentric hang. Fred Perry is still making reserved and classy clothes to this day. This original Fred Perry pinstripe bomber jacket, deadstock with tags still attached, is a great piece of vintage FP merchandise.
