Ghostbusters, the comedy horror film, debuted in 1984. The film was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who also starred in the cast, and featured Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, and Annie Potts as in a supernatural adventure. Directed by Ivan Reitman, the movie was a smash success, earning close to $300 million at the box office. The movie sparked a franchise which is still active to this day. But it all started when Venkmen, Stantz, and Spencer strapped on that first proton pack.
