G.I. Joe, the long-running action figure brand, was founded in 1964. They were an amazing revolutionary toy that found relevance time and time again, partially through their ability to reinvent themselves through television and film. In the 1983, they launched G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero in order to help promote their new, smaller toys, which were then available in 3.5" size. This original G.I. Joe: American Hero shirt, nicely worn with a light spot on the front, is a promotional tee from the 1980s animated television series.
