The Hampton Pirates are the athletic teams from Hampton University, the HBCU from Hampton, VA founded in 1868. The Division I Pirates play basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, soccer, golf, and more. The women's basketball team won the NCAA Division II championship in 1991.
