Jeep is a car brand from Toledo, OH. They've been making rugged vehicles since the mid 20th century when they first produced military-ready automobiles for WWII. In 1987, Chrysler purchased Jeep from American Motors Corporation. They began production on their Cherokee model in 1974. It has since become one of their most iconic cars, a simple but rugged car that has evolved into one of the first SUVs. Jeeps, and Cherokees, are still produced to this day notably their Wrangler model and several other sports utility vehicles.
