Despite being founded in 1972 and tracing its roots back ten years earlier, KROQ was reborn and found a new voice and audience interested in alternative music and ideas. They came on board in the late 70s and offered soothing voices and good songs that accompanied you through your drives, your hangs, and anything else you needed them for.
