Vintage Leonard Bernstein "West Side Story" T-Shirt
Leonard Bernstein's musical West Side Story debuted in 1957 in Washington DC. The show, which was based on Romeo And Juliet, became a smash hit, winning Tony Awards in every one of its Broadway iterations. In 1984, Bernstein himself conducted a production of West Side Story in New York which featured Kiri Te Kanawa, Jose Carreras, and Tatiana Troyanos. This original West Side Story shirt, in great condition with small marks and spots, is from the 1984 production with Leonard Bernstein conducting.
