Lynyrd Skynyrd are a rock band from Florida, not Alabama. The band was founded in 1964 and laid the foundation for southern rock, kind of like blues rock played with a southern drawl. They famously and tragically lost three members in a plane crash in 1977, but they still continue on to this day. In the mid 1970s, the famous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA was facing a potential closure and Lynyrd Skynyrd was one of the bands that came through attempting to save the legendary venue. The band recored their live album One More From The Road there and released it in 1976. Thanks in part to the band, the venue is still going. This vintage 1970s Lynyrd Skynyrd iron on tee, nicely worn in great condition, pays homage to the band's historic shows at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
