Vintage Metallica "Shortest Straw" Pushead T-Shirt
Metallica are a thrash metal band who were formed in Los Angeles, CA in 1981. The band moved to the Bay Area in 1983 which is were they solidified their lineup with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Cliff Burton, and Kirk Hammett. They would go on to record such records as Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets. Metallica hired famous skull artist Pushead to design a shirt for their Damage Inc. Tour in support of MOP. Bassist Cliff Burton would sadly die on tour in a bus accident after drawing the shortest straw for an unfavorable sleeping spot in the band's bus. He was replaced by Jason Newsted. The band's next album was ...And Justice For All and they tapped Pushead again to do more art for them. This original Metallica shirt, in excellent condition, pays homage to the late Cliff Burton with amazing Pushead art.
