MTV is a television channel founded in 1981. The acronym originally stood for Music Television, and that was their original focus. While today they are known for Jersey Shore and Teen Wolf, the station started out playing music videos almost exclusively. And lots of people like to remember it that way, with their cool art and amazing videos. It really was revolutionary.
