Currently located in Raleigh, NC, the North Carolina Museum Of Natural Sciences was originally founded in 1879 as the North Carolina State Museum. Over the course of the next century, the Museum changed and grew and became what is now the state's most popular and most visited museum. The NCMNS features dinosaur fossils, butterfly, as well as Carolinian gems and minerals.
