Pop ska group No Doubt released Rock Steady, their fifth album, in 2001. The band had already established themselves as a massive rock act, but this album helped them crossover into new territory. Incorporating dancehall influence and working with a slightly new process, Rock Steady was a mainstream pop hit, being nominated for Best Pop Vocal album at the Grammy Awards and going to #9 on the Billboard charts and eventually being certified double-Platinum.
