Rush Artist Management was a music management company ran by Russell Simmons, the brother of Run from Run DMC and co-owner of Def Jam Records with Rick Rubin. Simmons worked with some of the biggest names in rap, including Public Enemy, EPMD, Stetasonic, and, of course, Run DMC. In 1988, just four years after Def Jam was founded, a private concert in London was held with many of the label and Rush's biggest artists at Novello Rooms. It was an exclusive party, hosted by Rush Artist Management/Rush Producers Management and the British booking company The Agency, from the early days of rap's boom. This original Rush Artist Management flyer, with signs of aging from prolonged storage, is an invite to see Run DMC, Public Enemy, EPMD, and more from 1988.
