The Texas Rangers are a Major League Baseball team. The team was originally founded as the Washington Senators in 1961 but moved to Dallas, TX and changed their name in 1971. While Nolan Ryan was notably setting strike out records with the Rangers in the 1980s, they didn't make their first playoff appearance until 1996 and didn't win their first World Series championship until 2023, when they entered the playoffs on a Wild Card berth.
