Yakshas are spirits. In Thailand, their representations can be seen all over temples. They stand as guardians, protecting the temples. Most of the statues were made in the 14th and 16th centuries, making them beautiful and ancient, impressive in their craftsmanship and important in their significance, both in terms of religion and culture.
