They were one of the bands involved in the earliest USHC scene, leading the charge for the midwest and Michigan with bands like Negative Approach and Necros who mostly released their records through the Touch And Go label. The Meatman are fronted by Tesco Lee who notably wrote the amazing Touch And Go Fanzine. The band was outrageous and purposefully offensive.
