The People Under The Stairs is a horror movie directed by the horror master Wes Craven. Craven is, of course, known for his groundbreaking work with such franchises as A Nightmare On Elm Street and Scream. TPUTS was released in 1991 and produced by Alive Films distributed by Universal Pictures. The story follows a duo of robbers who wind up being kidnapped themselves after breaking into a strange and scary house.
