Bernard Purdie was a drummer born in Elkton, Maryland in 1939. His recognizable style graced dozens, if not hundreds, of albums ranging from jazz to soul to blues. As a bandleader, he released albums like Soul Drums (1968) and Soul Is... Pretty Purdie (1972) which belong in any collection. This shirt, printed by the record store Flash Disc Ranch in the Shimokitazawa area of Tokyo, Japan, is from the 90s and in great condition.
